First Impressions: Louis Vuitton On The Go GM

I have been eyeing the Louis Vuitton On The Go tote bag for the longest time and I finally have added it to my collection!

The Louis Vuitton On The Go GM is a large size tote bag (16.1 x 13.4 x 7.5 inches) that I am so excited to use for work and travel! It’s large enough to fit my 13” Laptop in Louis Vuitton Etui Voyage cover, and without the cover, it can probably fit also a 15” laptop (I assume!).

This is my first bag in the Empreinte Leather, and let me just say — It is so supple and soft! I am obsessed with Monogram Canvas, but this leather is so buttery!

I love how it has the two top handles to be carried by hand, but my favorite it the two long straps that you can use to carry on your shoulder! A part of me at first wanted these to be removable but now that I have the bag and have been using it, I probably would never take them off since I use them every single time!

Something else that I would change though (and I probably say this about any bag that doesn’t have it already) is to add feet! There is just something about feet on bags that make such a difference. I hate laying my bags directly on the floor and that would (kinda) make it better.

Also, the weight of the bag is reasonable for a large leather tote bag. I do want to mention that this is a large bag so be prepared when you throw in a lot of things inside… that the weight it also going to be heavy! I think I loaded it one day with my laptop, planner, water bottle, mini pochette, etc - and it turned out to be over 10lbs!! It’s not so bad when the bag is carried as a shoulder bag - but don’t be surprised with the weight depending on what you load it with!

All in all - it’s turning out to be the best bag when you’re * On The Go * ! ;)
